Life's favorite past time is testing peoples' saneness. It gives us tons of problems and what's worse is that it doesn't give us enough time to solve one before giving us another. (Sigh). But no, I ain't complaining, instead, I'm grateful because this life makes me the strongest! Though, I cannot deny the fact that I get frustrated at times, at the end of the day, I still thank God - Every problem is a blessing.

A random post for today.

Everybody started as a Beginner

As a beginner, I search every corner of a room to win new knowledge for blog improvements. I admit that by now, my blog is not my ideal blog, but what matter is that I am fully aware that I can do better than what I have as of today. The first 6 months in blogging will serve as a training ground to become a real blogger. This stage will be the 'Trial-and-error' stage for we will discover our readers' likes and dislikes.

For my first month, one of the most important lesson I've learn is the importance of Feedback. In this way, you'll be able to hear your readers comments, whether positive or negative, you should accept them and treat them as a challenge.

On my first post, I've receive positive comments. That made me happy and more inspired in posting and sharing my day-to-day outfit. (TIP: If you want to receive more comments, leave comments to other blogs too, in this way, you are giving them a chance to improve their blogs at the same time, they will be able to see your presence. This is very helpful especially to beginners like me.)

I hope that you learn something from me.

From Blogging tips, let's move on to Style tips. Above is my Outfit of the Day (OOTD). Minimalism again and again. It is highly suggested to store white button down (WBD) every woman's closet, actually, what I am referring is the pair longsleeves but mine has a touch of teenage style -- studded collar and cut-out shoulders. I tucked-in the front part of my WBD inside my low rise black shorts, while the back part was left hanging to give a layered effect.

On my left hand is the vintage casio watch and my black rosary. I just can't go out without any accessories on my hand. Hehe!

Featuring my newly thrifted white chunky sandals. My new favorites! I've been hunting these since forever, and thank God I found them at Star Mall Alabang (RTW Surplus).

What do you think on my OOTD? If you've been inspired by my look, don't forget to tag me on my instagram account (@jamaicafelichi). Thank you! Have a good night.

Boyfriend Thing

Hell-er Monday! Is it really? Almost everyone hate Monday, especially the students. And thanks God, I'm done with this Monday Problem. Haha! Anyway, kudos to those who survived Monday Madness!

Let me start this by asking a question, I hope by now, you have an idea what will my question be, as the title gives everyone an idea what will be my outfit post all about. Here goes my question, who else browse and grab something from her boyfie's closet? Honestly, I do this... I do this when my closet looks so full but I have nothing to wear; I do this when I get bored with my own clothes; and I do this whenever I want something new. And this happenned again. So here I am, wearing my boyfriend's shirt that looks like a real dress on me. Haha! I just love it! I added some black accessories to look more rad but actually t'was a lazy outfit.

Here's my overall look. I am also wearing a statement beanie from Oxygen Clothing. It helps me achieve a more boyish look. Not to forget my so far favorite sunnies & cut-out boots from Forever21.

Am I really experiencing a Bad Hair Day as my beanie says? Ummm! I don't know if it's just me who's very conscious on hair, how my hair looks like when I'm in motion or at rest. I am very very conscious with my hair, and combing using my fingers is becoming my mannerism. I do feel like I'm having a Bad Hair Day when in fact, I am not. I could still remember way back my college days, I have my hair (the lower part, 4-5 inches) curled on the Hair Salon but after a week, I cut the curled part thinking that it was so dry. Then, most of my schoolmates were dismayed. They were like, "OMG! Sayang 'yong hair mo, ang ganda kaya." (Why did you cut your hair? It was beautiful). And me like, "Ba't di niyo sinabi noon?" (Why did you not tell me before I cut it?) I cried over my long and curly hair for 2 weeks! Haha. So much on that.

Here's my not-so-sexy back. Haha

I hope that this post will inspire you and give you more courage to wear something new and something different. Let me see your look using your Boyfriend's Shirt. Tag me on my Instagram Account: @jamaicafelichi (http://instagram.com/jamaicafelichi)

Winter Feels

I

I really miss blogging. I miss those days where fashion and blog are the only things inside my mind. Now, I really have to manage my time as my flight is fast approaching, and there are still procedures I need to finish.

And thanks God, I finally have a time to stay in a quiet place where I can compose a new outfit post. How to start? My goodness, I almost forgot. (Sigh). Umm, maybe, it's good to start with a fact.

Philippines is a tropical country, wherein Wet & Dry is the only season, unlike other countries, they have Autumn/Fall, Spring, Summer, Winter (Not in order). Filipinos, or any other tropical countries, only have two types of clothes in the closets - Sweater Weather & Summer Apparel. No matter how I want to wear scarfs, knitted, long coats, high socks and sky-high boots and also layering, I couldn't because the weather prevents me to do so. I know, I can do it, if I want too, but it's so unappropriate and uncomfortable, considering such factors.

But you know what? Just last week, I went to Baguio City to process my papers and to attend seminars. For the sake of those who are not familiar to Baguio City, it is one of the most popular cities in the Philippines, and it is actually located at CAR. It is known to be the "City of Pines" or "Summer Capital of the Philippines" because of their awesome weather. The fact that it is in the upland, their temperature is a little bit lower or colder compared to other places or provinces of the Philippines. I can't deny the truth that I fell in love with Baguio. Last week was not my first time in Baguio, I've been there for so many times, but my love for this place is like "First Love," it never dies.

Aside from their weather, what I love most is that I can play another stage of "Mix & Match" game. Yes, I can do layering, I can wear winter clothes and shoes thou they don't have snow rain, just a perfect sweater-weather. So, here's me wearing an ox red chain-knit scarf which definitely matches with my scallop skater skirt. Isn't it? And of course, black will never be absent in a cold weather. I just love my oversize black knitted pullover and so with my knee-high knitted socks. I'm so comfortable with them, the weather was not a hindrance to my errands that day. I never felt the coldness around me. By the way, meet my new chunky, I bought it in one thrift shop in Baguio, t'was actually as good as knew and you can't believe how much I scored it -- only Php300. :D By the way, I forgot to tell you that Baguio is surrounded by thrift stores, wherever you look, you can see some thrift stores, they even have this so called "Night Market," starts at 9 in the evening to 12 midnight along the street, wherein clothes, shoes, bag and everything you need for is all on sale, and price starts at 10 pesos, seriously, 10 pesos that looks as good as new, and there are also brandnew items. That's how fun Baguio is.

Thank you for reading. I hope I gave you an idea what to wear next time you visit Baguio City. And for those you haven't visited Baguio yet, I strongly suggest that you should go there. The weather is perfect, a place for thrifters, and definitely for nature lovers. :)))) Don't forget to tag your Baguio OOTD on my Instagram Account ( http://instagram.com/jamaicafelichi ).

Is Fashion Just a Repetition?

"Fashion has always been a repetition of ideas, but what makes it new is the way you put it together," Miss Carolina Herrera, a Fashion Designer, once said.

Whether we admit it or not, fashion is just a repetition of ideas, from the most conservative to the truly provocative clothes, they've been existing before. Before they've trended today, fashion enthusiasts born on earlier eras had already played so many mix-and-match games on it. In fact, I want to share you my story, my personal experience, that made me agree with what Ms. C. Herrera said.

Last week was really a busy week for me because November is in a hurry, and only few weeks left before I leave Philippines for I'll be working at Canada, my flight will be on January 2015. Considering the month, it'll be winter. Honestly, that will be my first time to be exposed in winter, that I need to bring as many coats or warmers as possible. My grandmother invited me to visit and choose coats and jackets from her closet which she also used in her stay abroad. What came to surprise me was her denim collection. She has denim jackets in different sizes and shades, she even have long denim jacket that can also be a dress. And we all know that denims are very mainstream today. Ah no, denims are always there, they never leave. Well, I grabbed just two denims, the oversized jacket and the long jacket. I wish I could get them all but my they're too heavy, I think two is enough for the mean time.

These jackets are supposed to be wash and pack in my luggage, but how could I unused such? They're to radical! I must wear them immediately! After wash day, I wear the oversized one. And here are some of my OOTD-photos.

Did this oversized jacket look like from my grandmother's closet? Or did this gave a twist to my minimalist OOTD?

How to Wear a Crop Top

Hi! I'm so back. Did anyone missed me? πŸ˜„ My photographer, who is my Bae, had been busy at their school lately that we cannot take pictures, but I'll surely catch up with you.

Just like what I've said on my most recent post, you'll see more outfit of me in Baesics. And I hope by now, you already noticed that I have this croptop obsession. I don't know if it's just me who feels so sexy wearing croptops. Do you? Honestly, I don't work out. I don't have a 24-waistline, not even a flat stomach (working on it soon! Hehe). What made me think croptops will fit me? The secret is "courage," my dear. As what they say, "If you want it, wear it!"

But I also whpant to share another secret in choosing what to pair with croptops, especially if you're like me, lazy to burn fats. Always remember to smile and be confident! It will perfectly match with highwaist or boyfriend jean, I'm sure, you'll forget about your not so sexy body and I swear, t'will make you feel sexier.

The boyfriend jeans will create an illusion as it hides your unwanted fats. I want you to meet my not so sexy body. I lifted up my top for better visualization. Then, look back on my pictures above. Did my jeans really hide 'em? You better try them then comment down if my secret also applies with you. :)

And before I forget, I also wear a black chunky belt as it coordinates well with my boyfriend jeans. But to destroy my boyish look, I decided to use a Gladiator Wedge instead on Slip-on or Sneakers. Apart from that, I also blended a touch of vintage -- my sunnies & bangles. Yes, they are categorized under vintage fashion. This sunnies are retro-inspired and my bangles are in vintage color.

No Color, No Problem!

Everyone loves Friday because it is a fun day! Stress-free day! Furthermore, it's the day we temporarily say goodbye to school or office works. Maybe, that's the main reason why they name the famous bar and restaurant to 'Thank God It's Friday' because we really have to Thank God it's Friday!

Apart from Friday-Freeday, let me share to you my Friday array. I don't know if you noticed that lately I've been wearing so much Black & White. Actually, I've always been attracted to Black. I could still remember my Highschool Days, where I always wanted to wear Black during our Freedays, until my mom & granny asked me to stop wearing so. They say that black is for depressed people, and they believe that it is a sign of mourning. But what can I do? I just can't stop wearing this black. I can definitely relate to the thought, "I'll stop wearing black when there'll be a darker color." But I don't want to be stubborn, so I decided to mix something with black, and I chose White. I can't deny the fact that I'm a minimalist. Another reason could be, No Color, No Problem. What color of accessories do I need to wear? What type and color of jeans will perfectly pair this top? What shade of shoes? And so on and so forth. My answer? Simply wear Black and White!

Until I reached college, where neon and pastel colors became new trends. I would always want to try something new. And yeah, I did wear them too. But my attraction to black and white never ended. Just this month, I'm again craving for more black and white in my closet.

So here are the only photos taken yesterday, but I swear you'll appreciate black and white the way I do. By the way, I'm also wearing gray, a shade of Bæsic too. Moreover, let me take this moment to promote my online shop, it is located at Instagram with the address @blissfulclosette. My top to buttom can be find at my shop except for my jacket which is from Vans and my Bag which is from Arden B.

What do you think, do black & white perfectly suits me?
